Could glass lenses be the perfect choice for you?
The lenses that are used in most types of spectacles are often plastic, but depending on your preferences and prescription, glass lenses may also be an option.
Glass lenses are scratch-resistant, whereas plastic lenses can scratch easily if dropped, grazed or left without a case in a handbag or pocket. However, glass lenses often tend to be less durable than plastic options.
If you have a particularly high prescription, we often recommend the use of glass lenses in your eyewear. This is because they are typically thinner than plastic lenses and therefore don’t appear quite as bulky, although the increased density of glass compared to plastic makes them the same overall weight.
